Plática with Adelita: Period Poverty

Period poverty is an important, yet often ignored, public health crisis. “Period poverty” is when people who need products like pads, tampons, or liners to manage menstrual bleeding are unable to afford them. Access to to menstrual items is a human right and everyone who menstruates deserves to have a period with dignity.

Please join Supervisor Adelita Grijalva with Leslie Pike (Diaper Bank of Southern Arizona) and Amanda Monroy (Pima County Health Department) and others to learn more about the issue and how you can get involved to make an impact.
