WE ARE D5 MONTHLY NEWSLETTER
December 2022
Hi friends! December is a busy month with many of us preparing for the holidays, so remember to rest and stay healthy. Cases of the flu, COVID, and RSV are impacting many of our families. To stay up to date on your vaccinations, visit the Health Department's website to look for your most convenient vaccine locations and more. Reach out to our office at district5@pima.gov if you need any assistance with County services, or just want to say hi!
Have a safe and joyful holiday season,

Vecinos in Action:
On December 9th, the City of Tucson named the plaza connecting Tucson Convention Center facilities as the Alva Bustamante Torres Plaza in honor of her decades of activism seeking preservation of Tucson's barrios and her trailblazing work as one of the first Latinas to write a weekly column for a major U.S. newspaper.
Thank you, Alva, for your dedication to our community!

D5 LIBRARY VISITS
This year our D5 team and I visited all eight libraries in District 5! (Fun fact: D5 has the most libraries out of any BoS district, woot! woot!) Thank you to the wonderful library staff for showing us around. We learned more about the services offered by our amazing libraries! For more information, visit www.library.pima.gov/.
